We all cherish the moments we spend with our loved ones; I’m sure if I asked what your top five memories over the last 10 years are, within seconds you would start recalling those moments.
Some people like to take pictures to capture those special occasions, others take videos, and many keep those memories stored in their heads, and at the right moment share those stories with friends and family.
Like many people, my wife and I have been documenting our son’s life since he was born. Our phones are filled with pictures and video footage of Andy. At first, we were keeping everything in our phone, but one day my wife decided it would be a good idea to create an email address for Andy so we could store everything for safekeeping.
Over the last 22 months, we have sent our son emails describing his first experience at Disneyland, his first steps and the first word he uttered. We have found this to be fun for us, and we hope to share that email address with Andy when he is older. We hope that he appreciates us capturing our best memories of him, and quite frankly, 10 years from now, I know my wife and I are going to look back and be grateful that we can reminisce on all of Andy’s accomplishments.
It’s also a simple and easy way for us to keep these memories organized while chasing a toddler.
